Established in 1989 by John Moran, Convoy for Kids is run by a dedicated group of volunteers from the transport and associated industries desire to help those children who are ill and have disabilities, and also to offer support to their families in the most trying of times.  This year (2012) the beneficiary was Riding for the Disabled Queensland Inc.

On Saturday, 27th October, the convoy left Heathwood at 10am, wound it’s way along the Logan Motorway, Gateway Extension, Gateway Motorway, Deagon Deviation, along the Redcliffe waterfront, Victoria Ave and into the Redcliffe Showgrounds.  There were truck and ute shows, auctions, truck pull competitions, live entertainment, children’s rides and activities and much, much more.  It was a great day for all!

ScuzzTrans raised enough money to earn the honour of leading the convoy, and had a great day helping the kids.
